As captain, he’s responsible for far more than just what happens on a Saturday. From team selection headaches to keeping standards high and spirits up, Ben plays a huge role in shaping the environment around the team. He leads from the front not just in performances, but in creating a side that’s competitive, committed, and enjoyable to be part of. And like all grassroots captains, he’s also juggling availability messages, last-minute dropouts, and the occasional “anyone fancy coming out of retirement?” situation.
