Aviva Volunteers Make a Lasting Impact at Bishopthorpe Cricket Club.

Bishopthorpe Cricket Club was delighted to welcome a team of volunteers from Aviva for a community volunteering day, and what a difference they made! The team traded their office desks for paintbrushes, mowers and a heavy cricket roller, throwing themselves into a wide range of essential jobs around the ground. Together they prepared a matchday wicket from scratch, mowed and rolled the square, carried out general ground maintenance and helped improve the facilities that our members enjoy every week. As a volunteer-run club, support like this is invaluable. Every hour donated helps us maintain our ground, improve the experience for our players and create more opportunities for juniors, seniors and the wider community to enjoy cricket. We are incredibly grateful to Aviva for supporting employee volunteering and to every colleague who gave up their time, energy and enthusiasm to help us. The day was full of hard work, teamwork and plenty of laughs, showing just what can be achieved when people come together for a shared purpose.
