More Than Cricket

🏏 WEEK 4 — MORE THAN CRICKET Cricket is what brings us together. But it's not the only reason people stay. 💙 Over the season, Bishopthorpe Cricket Club has been about far more than what happens between the wickets. It's children discovering a new sport. Players making new friends. Families spending an evening at the ground. The Riversiders enjoying a game without worrying about the league table. Supporters on the boundary. Events, laughter, food, fundraising and the occasional questionable decision from an umpire. 😂 It's local businesses supporting their community. And it's people from across Bishopthorpe coming together around something we all have a stake in. That's what we're trying to build. A club that's open, welcoming and part of the community whether you play every Saturday, have never picked up a bat, or simply fancy coming down to see what we're about. And as we look towards 2027, we're excited about creating even more ways for people to be part of Bishopthorpe Cricket Club. More cricket. More community. More opportunities. More partnerships. Because the future of the club isn't just about how many runs we score. It's about how many people we bring together. 💙🏏 Bishopthorpe Cricket Club — Growing Together.
