Those who make it happen

🏏 WEEK 5 — THE PEOPLE WHO MAKE IT HAPPEN You see the cricket. You don't always see what makes it happen. For every Saturday afternoon at the ground, there are plenty of jobs that happen before, after and sometimes far away from the boundary rope. But here's the thing… It's not really about the jobs. It's about the people. 💙 The people who get the ground ready, coach our juniors, organise fixtures, run events, support our players, look after our sponsors and keep the club moving. It's people bringing ideas. People opening doors. People giving an hour here and there. People seeing something that needs doing and simply saying: “I'll give you a hand.” And as Bishopthorpe Cricket Club continues to grow, more and more people are becoming part of making it happen. And that's what makes us excited about the future. Because we want even more people to be part of it. You don't need to be a cricket expert. You don't need to commit every weekend. You don't even need to know exactly what you can offer yet. Maybe you've got a skill. Maybe you've got an idea. Maybe you've got a couple of spare hours. Maybe you know a local business that could get involved. There's a place for you. We're already thinking about what 2027 can look like — and the opportunities to shape it are bigger than ever. Because the next chapter of Bishopthorpe Cricket Club isn't something that belongs to a committee. It's something we can build together. 💙🏏 More people. More ideas. More opportunities. Growing Together. Next week: The people who support us… #BishopthorpeCC #GrowingTogether #CommunityCricket #Volunteers #CricketForEveryone
