vs Bolton Percy
Scores
Bishopthorpe 123 All Out, Bolton Percy 126-4
We could just copy and paste the match report from last week, as the game followed a now all too familiar pattern. Once more Bishopthorpe were put in to bat, once more they failed to put on a competitive total which, despite a decent effort in the field, they failed to defend.
David Turner top scored with 34, Jamie Blackburn continued his good start to the season with the bat, adding another 31 for his tally for the season, and Angus Bindloss, playing his first league game in 5 years, scored 19. However, nobody was able to kick or form any partnerships worthy of note and they were bundled out in 32 overs for just 123.
Jamie Blackburn bowled unchanged finishing with 3-49, who along with Brandon Clapham (1-46) can consider themselves unlucky not to have finished with at least a couple more scalps to their name.
Three games in to the new season, and still searching for their first win, Bishopthorpe travel to unbeaten New Earswick next Saturday, but tomorrow morning (Sunday 11am) they are in T20 action in the Wilberfoss Cup against Leeds based Colton Insitiute, which will hopefully give the misfiring batsmen another chance to find some form.
